WHAT TO WEAR FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PICTURES?

Choosing the perfect outfit to wear during your senior photos can be super intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be! Your outfit should reflect your personality, so make sure you’re choosing something that will showcase you at your best and most unique.

Garden/Nature Location

When shooting in nature, never hesitate to choose earthy hues, like neutral shades such as creams, beiges, grays and other muted colors. A pop of complimentary color like red could also work well for drawing attention to oneself amid all the natural beauty.

Beach

Shooting at the beach, it's important to know what color complements your background. Choose colors that are similar in hue or tone to the surroundings, such as green with shades of green; blue with shades of blues; white with shades of whites; sand with shades of browns and sandy hues; soft pink hues; pastels (such as light oranges) which go well against yellow-ish backgrounds. To really make waves - use flowing fabrics like silk or chiffon during sessions on these days.

Studio/Glam

Studio setting is all white filled with natural light. Any color will go, but it's import to choose a color that is best for you!

I love the look of white on white, it simple and elegant. So bring a few different colors, so we options.

City/Urban

Anything goes for this type of setting. Feel free to express yourself as you would like to be seen. Just remember it all about you and not so much the background.

My images tend to focus on my subject, which will melt into the back ground.

Lifestyle

I think this is on of my favorites styles of shooting. I love the causal, care free vibe of it all. Doesn't matter where it is, its all about YOU!

Choose an activity you love to do, a place that speaks to you, or just walking down the street. If you are comfortable in your surrounding it will shine through every image.

a few more tips

Manicure & PedicureEnsure your manicure and pedicure are fresh and complement your outfit with a neutral or French manicure. Avoid chipped or bold nail polish, which can be distracting in photos.

Makeup: Consider investing in professional hair and makeup for a fresh, polished look. Shape and define your eyebrows to help you feel relaxed and confident and look amazing and natural in your photos.

  • If you have professional makeup, arrive with a clean, moisturized face and bring an inspirational photo to guide the look.
  • Apply chapstick to your lips the night before your photo session to prevent chapped or cracked lips and ensure a smooth, healthy-looking smile in your photos.
